The sloping site fronts Brougham Place park in North Adelaide and is
characterised by spectacular views to the Cathedral and Adelaide Oval
on the south. Adjoining heritage listed residences, access to views
and light, issues of overlooking and overshadowing informed the brief
and the design. Spaces are organised over 3 levels and projecting masonry
walls allow blinkered views to the north and south.Panels and rebates
in the rendered walls and the proportions of the building are classical
references to the heritage character of the surrounding environment. |
